Hiii, I’m Kita!!

I AM A PROUD FIRST-GEN MEXI-SALVI JEFA, a cafecito lover, neurodivergent nerd(2E=ADHD+Dyslexic), plantitas mom, and wife to my best friend + business partner @johnnybarumedia I’m excited to share my knowledge, broker connections, and use my podcast to host conversations about real life + entrepreneurship #jefalife as I strengthen my voice as a Jefa. @lajefakita

My favorite form of photography is creating images of my fellow Jefas.. Telling parts of their story through my lens and creating imagery serves as marketing materials to grow their brand’s online presence. I believe we deserve to take up space + deserve high-quality imagery to promote our businesses. I’m also the Founder of @cafecitoconjefas a community + podcast designed to alleviate the loneliness that comes with being an entrepreneur, close the knowledge gap by teaching Jefas how to show up online, cultivate a culture of connection, live in pursuit of holistic entrepreneurship + provide a platform to share our stories. It began with just a few Jefas joining me for cafecito in August 2022 + it has evolved into weekly cafecito + co-working sessions, Jefa workshops, a podcast + a new virtual community casita membership. #showupjefa

I’ve pursued entrepreneurship for over 15 years, starting as a sales coach for 5 years, photography being the longest pursuit of now 10 years + a handmade goods shop for 5 years while I lived in Tucson @allthingskita that I plan to bring back in the Fall.

Everything I’ve built within CCJ is intentionally designed to provide a space that I NEVER had coming up as an entrepreneur. The vision is BIG, pero I believe in my community + I believe the WE can grow stronger JUNTAS. 💪🏽💃🏽 #showupjefa

FUN FACT

I lived in Tucson, AZ for 5 years after I got married. Living in the desert had me fall in love with saguaros + sunset skies that are on fire. I also opened an Etsy shop called @allthingskita for 4 of those years, heavily inspired by the desert color palette + saguaros. Loved the experience of being a maker + dream of re-opening my shop one day.

Ps. Kita is short for Jessikita. ;)
