The #ShowUpJefa Strategy: Doing Business Differently (Without Burning Out)

Have you ever felt like you're drowning in the pressure to post all the time just to stay relevant online? Like you’re stuck in a loop of “I need to show up” but also “I’m exhausted and have a whole business to run”?

Same. 🙋🏽‍♀️

After a six-month break from podcasting (because, ya girl needed to pause and process), I’m back—and I’m sharing what actually works when it comes to online marketing without sacrificing your sanity.

Let’s be real: your business isn’t your Instagram. And posting daily on social isn’t the full picture of marketing—it’s just one piece. After almost 20 years in entrepreneurship, here’s what I’ve learned: sustainable marketing starts with owning your content and honoring your capacity. Period.

What is the Show Up Jefa Strategy?

It’s a simple, flexible approach to building your online presence that centers your energy, not the algorithm. It’s built around three core pillars:

1. Long-form content

Think podcast, blog, or video. This is your chance to go deep, be seen, and share your expertise in a way that truly connects. Long-form content builds trust way faster than a random IG reel. And when you do it bi-weekly? That’s more than enough to stay visible and protect your peace.

2. Email marketing

Your email list is gold. It’s your direct line to the people who chose to hear from you. No algorithm drama. No dancing for reach. Just real connection. It’s like sending love notes to your dream clients—and it's one of the smartest moves you can make in your business.

3. Your website

This is your digital casita. It’s where everything lives: your offers, your content, your story. Social media platforms can change or disappear in a heartbeat—but your site? That’s yours. Even a simple page is better than relying solely on IG to carry your business.

You Don’t Need to Do It All to Be Consistent

Let’s ditch the hustle guilt. The Show Up Jefa Strategy is built to work with your life—not against it. If you’re managing a lot (hi, chronic illness, caregiving, or just being a multifaceted human), you don’t need to post every day to stay consistent. One solid piece of long-form content every two weeks? That’s the base. You can repurpose that into smaller posts for your socials. Stretch that content. Make it work for you.

Coming Back After Burnout

In this latest podcast episode, I’m not just sharing the strategy—I’m also reflecting on what it looks like to come back after a hard season. Sometimes showing up means being honest. Sometimes it means moving in silence and trusting that the right people will still find you. Either way, you don’t owe anyone an explanation for protecting your peace.
